DISTRICT GOVERNOR JOYCE AMBRAY

District Governor Joyce Michelle Socorro Loyola Ambray leads Rotary International District 3810 this Rotary Year 2022-2023. This is her 17th year in Rotary service and she wants it to be phenomenal.

With more than two years of being restricted by pandemic protocols, Rotarians are now back in action physically. Hence, District Governor Joyce Ambray wants to further empower them in carrying out Service Above Self to communities in need of help. She wants her term to be an extraordinary experience for clubs by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in line with the thrusts of Rotary International President Jennifer Jones, the first female Rotary International President in history.

District Governor Joyce Ambray aims to promote more harmonious relationships among Rotarians by making each one feels they belong to District 3810’s Family of Rotary that is united and compassionate. She believes this is a crucial step to encouraging clubs to be vibrant towards goals of strengthening relationships, improving lives, promoting peace, and defeating diseases.

She developed such principles during her simple childhood years in San Pablo City, Laguna when the seed of charity and familial love were planted and nourished in her heart by her loving parents. According to District Governor Joyce, she gained her life skills and lessons from her late father, Damaso, a respected banker and real estate developer, while her faith and strength were the values she got from her mother, Mary Ann. Over the years, she has been a caring sister to younger siblings Marie, Niño, Tonette, and Rajun. Together they take care of their family business: a memorial park in San Pablo City.
