An action-packed week opened as the PRCMO hosted distinguished guests from the Rotary International District 3810 for a Pasig River Tour and special clean-up and tree-planting activity on Monday, July 18, 2022.
DENR Asec. and PRCMO Concurrent Executive Director Dr. Joan A. Lagunda, MNSA welcomed the group of notable Rotarians and phenomenal leaders led by District Governor Joyce L. Ambray, Rotary Club of Manila President Hermie Esguerra, and DGN Joaquin Rodriguez, with an upcoming partnership secured and ready to roll in the soonest possible time.
The river tour traversed the Pasig River’s stretch from Lawton Ferry Station, Manila to Guadalupe, Makati City, and was followed by a clean-up and planting activity at Pasong Tamo Creek, Quezon City, which ushered in the turnover of brand-new cleaning equipment from the Rotary to the PRCMO River Warriors and the planting of 120 saplings of fruit-bearing trees (mango, calamansi, coffee) and ornamentals (pandakaki, euodia) to signify another bright partnership ahead for the Pasig River System.
