MY HEART IS FILLED WITH GRATITUDE for sharing a very special occasion in publishing the Maiden issue of the Governor’s Digest for RI District 3810!
My dear fellow Rotarians, as your District Governor, I am taking this wonderful opportunity also to present to you things we look forward to in accomplishing with the presidential theme of “Imagine Rotary”.
Rotary International President Jennifer Jones is asking Rotarians to dream big, take action and–“Imagine a world that deserves our best, where we get up each day knowing that we can make a difference.”
As Business Professor and Author Rosabeth Moss Kanter said, “A vision is not just a picture of what could be; it is an appeal to our better selves, a call to become something more.”
At this point, perhaps it may come across as staggering or “easier said than done.” But the trick to acting on goals is getting started. You don’t have to be perfect; you only need to make progress.
As your District Governor, I also would like to share this quote to start our Imagine Rotary journey, “To help yourself, help others. Whatever good you do, it travels a circle and returns to you many times over – but remember, life isn’t about what you get, it’s about what you become.”
This Imagine Rotary Year, I have chosen a name for our District Leaders and Presidents, our RI District 3810 “Phenomenal Leaders”. For it is in your remarkable journey that I have faith that “If God brings you to it, God will bring you through it” and this is an extraordinary journey that makes you Phenomenal!
The Governor’s Digest monthly magazine is where we celebrate our Rotary service, and most especially, to finally experience the priceless joy of sharing our Rotary journey through our lifestyle stories.
I congratulate our District Publication Governor’s Digest Editor in Chief, Senior Deputy Governor Majella Tumangan Villaroman and the hardworking and committed Editorial Team, with Managing Editor Disnee Dioso and Creative and Visual Director Audie Laudencia for pulling off this wonderful inspiring lifestyle magazine! Together with the Omni Communications Group Team Leaders, we celebrate the Governor’s Digest on this very special achievement!
